our

FRIENDORS

We’ve shot with hundreds of vendors at hundreds of weddings over the years and the people below have made the final cut. Not only will they give you the best experience and product, but we highly recommend hiring all your vendors as a team.  We love working with these friends, and a happy team makes it an even better experience for you and us!

Planners:

This is the one vendor we recommend the most! Think you, your friends and family can manage on your wedding day without a planner?  You can’t.  Want to save money?  We get it.  But don’t skimp here.  At least hire a month-of (there’s no such thing as a day-of coordinator) planner to take over, contact your vendors, create a timeline, run your rehearsal and wedding day.  This one cost will give you a worry free week before your wedding.  Furthermore, it keeps us from playing planner on your wedding day (which we’ve had to do in the past), freeing us up to document more and organize less. We can’t tell you how much more you, your friends and family will get to enjoy the day, too!

PLANNER FRIENDORS: Orange Blossom Special Events, Bright Blue Events, Master Plan Events, Cluster Events, XOXO Weddings, LB Events, Demaray Events, Rheefined Events, So Smitten Events.

Florals:
Enchanted Garden Florals, The Little Branch, Heirloom Design House, In Focus Events, Wenfloral, Walden Florals, Holiday Celebrate, Fiore Designs
Music:

DJ: Who’s That DJ?, Red Shoe LA, VOX, Dart Collective, Flash Dance

Ceremony: Jason Sulkin, Cattus Quartet

Hair & Makeup:
We only recommend teams that do both and that come to you!  These vendors are all the best at not only giving you the look you’re going for, but also keeping you on time for the entire day!

Girl Meets Bongga, Design Visage, Kelly Zhang, Fairytale Hair & Makeup, Mobile Bridal Salon

Rentals:
Yeah Rentals, Wolf & Irving, A Rental Connection, Town & Country, Archive Rentals

JS&CO Photo Booth

After hopping in dozens of booths and being disappointed by little space, terrible lighting, only one print, and no social sharing, we finally found our own Booth to offer and we think ours is the best!!  Click here to read why!

Videography:

Videography might be the single most important relationship we have (close second are planners) because we work so closely in tandem with them on wedding days.  This short list of sincere, loving, like-minded friends are people who shoot like us (read candid and natural, not stiff and posed), create films of your wedding day that are easy to watch and will tug at your heart strings, and we just love them. We highly recommend getting a video team in addition to photography.  While we will take a photo of your dad giving a speech at your reception, there is just something about being able to hear him get choked up during that speech.  And that’s something only video can provide.

WE RECOMMEND: The Hubs Films, Lovebug Media, Wes Films, Press Films

Lighting:
Stage Labs, Pacific Entertainment, A Rental Connection
Catering & Bartending:

CATERING: Command Performance, RoomForty, Tres LA, ECO Caters, LA Roots

BARTENDING: We are always so impressed when bartenders understand that at weddings, making one drink at a time can take too long so instead the pre-make batches of the signiture cocktail and pass them during cocktail hour so more guests get served faster.  And with only one bar on site, guests are thrilled!

LA Speakeasy, Mama’s Medicine, Pharmacie, Liquid Catering, The Typsy Gypsy Bar, Bubbles & Brews

Dessert:
CAKES ETC: Superfine Bakery, Kings Hawaiian, The Butter End, MJB Cakes, Fantasy Frosting

TRUCKS & CARTS, ETC.: McConnell’s Ice Cream, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Si Paletas Gourmet Popsicles, Chunk N Chip, Porch Pies, Fonuts, Hula Girls Shaved Ice, Let’s Have A Cart Party, Milk Jar Cookies, Bottega Louise, Portos

Paper Goods:
The most important thing when choosing your save the date, invitation suite, place cards, signage, etc is consistency!  It’ll elevate your photos immensely!  That cute sign you found on Etsy?  Replicate it with your design to stay consistent. Choose two fonts – one bigger and bolder for headlines and one smaller for the little details.  And stick with one design and your two fonts.  Better yet, choose from among our recommendations below and have them do it all for you!

WE RECOMMEND: Prim & Pixie, Minted, Paper Culture
