The wedding I am bringing to you today is especially important to me. You see, the bride, Katie, and I have known each other since birth. So you can imagine my excitement when she got engaged and contacted me about her wedding photography! It was so amazing to get to go home to Minnesota and be there in such a unique way on her wedding day. I could not be happier for Katie. Andy is such an amazing gentleman, always supportive, attentive, concerned for Katie, never quick to anger or stress. The two had such an amazing connection on their wedding day. It was such a joy to photograph their love.
And it was such an amazing opportunity to document a wedding at Glensheen Mansion. A historic mansion on the North Shore in Minnesota, it was a real Downton Abbey kind of wedding. The Mansion, built in the early 1900s, has 32 rooms, opulent furnishings, and was the home to an infamous murder in 1977. Guests were able to enjoy tours of the home during cocktail hour before the reception started in the Winter Garden. After dinner in the mansion’s lower floor, the guests moved down to the tented dance area on the grounds adjacent to the campfire by the lake. Despite the threat of rain all day, it was a picture perfect day!
Katie and Andy, it was seriously such a joy to document your wedding day! Love you both! Enjoy!
